A knock only counts if the rep was at the door

Knox checks four things the moment a rep taps Log knock. Pass all four and it’s verified. Miss one and it’s flagged with the reason, so managers see the evidence instead of the excuse.

The four checks

Distance

Within 25 meters of the house

Measured from the rep’s phone to the rooftop point for that address. A pin dropped from the truck doesn’t pass.

Time at the door

10 seconds inside that radius

The Log knock button stays locked until the rep has stood at the door, and the app says why: “Walk to the door” or “Stand at the door, 6 s.”

Speed

Under 5 mph

Anything faster is a car. A knock logged while driving past is flagged as moving.

GPS accuracy

A good fix, under 35 meters

A weak signal doesn’t count for or against the rep. The knock is marked low accuracy so a manager can judge it.

Faked GPS gets caught

Location-spoofing apps and jailbroken phones are the oldest trick in door-to-door. Knox marks those knocks as suspected spoofing and alerts managers right away. Every flagged knock lands in one list with the evidence, to approve with a reason or reject.

  • Teleporting locations between updates are flagged.
  • Raw evidence is kept on every knock: coordinates, accuracy, speed and time.
  • A rep can’t log the same door twice to pad numbers. A second result within 10 minutes replaces the first.

Fair to reps, too

Verification protects the reps who really walk the block. Their leaderboard spot and goals count verified knocks, so the loudest rep doesn’t win by tapping from the truck.

  • Reps see their own verified rate and every flag on their knocks, with the reason.
  • Managers can approve a flagged knock with a reason when there’s a good one, like a long driveway or a locked gate. Rejected knocks stay out of the stats.
  • One pin per house for the whole company, so the next rep sees exactly what happened at that door.
